A Little Rain Never Stopped Us!

This past weekend we attended our FINAL wedding of the year!  I believe this was our 6th wedding that we had been to and we weren't about to miss an opportunity to visit with family.

Jason's second cousin, Erin, got married and we all anticipated this beautiful day at the Kenwood Farms and Gardens in Kenwood (near Sonoma), CA.  Well as the weekend began to get closer the weather forecast was looking pretty sketchy.  And sure enough we flew into a VERY RAINY CA!!  I mean seriously, it was like a monsoon the entire weekend.  This was not normal...not one bit!

The wedding of course was planned to be outside, so when the rain showed up in the forecast, plans began to change.  The wedding had to get moved to be under a tent, but this lovely tent only had ONE side covered and OF COURSE the bride's side was the side that was not enclosed.  Not only was there rain, but there was also wind, so the wind was blowing rain onto the poor guys sitting on the very edge (thanks Scott for protecting all of us from the rain!).  We pulled out the blankets and jackets from the car to keep us warm during the ceremony.  And they were much needed during the reception as well, which was in an open barn type building...with NO heaters!

We all ended up having a great time regardless.  We never let a little rain stop us.  And the energy level was up also due to the great news that the Giants were headed to the World Series!!!  What a great night!!!

We even managed to get out and do a few winery visits as well.  All great fun despite the rain!!
