We decided that since this year was a Leap Year and it only happens every 4 years, that we would actually celebrate Cammy's half birthday. And then we will continue this tradition every 4 years with some sort of mini celebration. Creative, right? So this year we invited over our closest friends here and had a taco party to celebrate Cammy's last 6 months (as they were all there for us when she was born, so it only seemed fitting). Of course I didn't take a single picture of everyone who came over...oh well!
And now that Cammy is 6 months old, she is so much more capable of doing so many things. At 6 months old she...
sits up by herself when propped up
laughs her very cute laugh
smiles a LOT
can play "catch" with us and maybe one out of five times she actually catches the ball
grabs everything and wants to put everything into her mouth
responds to her name
rolls to both sides from her tummy to her back at least once a day
interacts more during bathtime, playing with toys
LOVES to hear her own voice by screaming loudly
can back up very well while in the walker
scoots herself backwards while on her tummy
is eating a variety of different fruits and veggies at dinnertime
attempts to use a straw and might actually have been successful at it
is beginning to use a sippy cup
loves to help turn pages in books when we read with her
sits in the "big girl" part of the stroller now
holds a spoon all by herself and knows how to use it
I feel like the list could go on, but these are just the ones I can remember right now :) Here's to another enjoyable 6 months of learning and exploring together and maybe some teeth and crawling in the very near future!!!
