We drove up to Tahoe on Friday morning and thought it was only appropriate to make our first stop be the lake. We stopped at a beautiful little beach spot in Zephyr Cove and actually were able to convince Cammy to get her feet wet right before we left.
Family photo at the lake
Took some convincing, but she finally decided the water was ok to go in with mommy
That evening we had a little "rehearsal style dinner" minus the rehearsal at Jess' parents' rental house in South Shore. Sadly I didn't take any pictures as I was too preoccupied watching out for Cammy in a non-childproof house.
Saturday was the reception at a private beach in Incline Village. It was the perfect place for us because there was a playground, swings, a swimming area and lots of room to run around! Jason and I took advantage of his parents' kayaks and took a quick little, very choppy, ride out on the water. Good to know I still have the strength to not only kayak, but kayak on some serious waves! Needless to say...I did not need to be rescued!
She was happy in the kayak until we picked it up to bring it towards the water
Ready to hit the water
Swings with mommy and daddy
And oddly enough I didn't get a single picture of the newlyweds, Dave and Jess, and we didn't even manage to get a photo with all of the family! Boy does a toddler distract you from just about everything!
Sunday was going home day, but we let the fun continue when we met up with one of my best college friends, Alli and her husband and son once we got back home. We always enjoy getting together and taking a picture with our kiddos to see how much they have grown between visits! Apparently my child is quickly becoming a giant :)
Alli and I with our kiddos, Rylan (26 months) and Cammy (23 months)
Riding the rocking horse that was made for Jason 30 years ago!
Rylan and Cammy riding together...aren't they just too cute?!
A trip to CA is never long enough these days, but we are glad that we are able to make these short trips to be a part of such eventful happenings in the family!
