Everyone doing their part in the kitchen
Carving up the turkey
Jason and I decided to host Thanksgiving this year with the unknown of when baby #2 might want to make her appearance. We definitely didn't want to be far from home. Everyone said we were crazy, but I in fact thought we were smart because the parents pretty much did all the cooking for us (thanks Carol, Keith, Scott and Glenda) while I was told to sit and do nothing (easier said than done for me though).
The food was bought a few days before Thanksgiving and of course a day or so after, our fridge decided to stop working and would not stay cool. Having this happen at 9 months pregnant caused just a minor freak out on my behalf. So all the food got transferred to Jason's parent's condo until we could get it fixed. Of course with the holidays nobody could come check on the fridge until after the holiday weekend, so we just made due with what we had...a non working fridge and freezer and tried to focus on what we were thankful for this year.
Of course right as dinner was ready to serve we notice water all over the kitchen floor. Sure enough with the freezer not staying cold the ice was all melting...melting into a nice little pond in the kitchen!!! Darn it that it wasn't MY water breaking all over the floor (seemed like a good time to get out of the house). Dinner got put on hold until the water mess was cleaned up.
The dad's being super helpers cleaning up the water leak
Surprised I didn't stress myself into labor this day? Me too!!! And you can only guess what we did on Black Friday...fridge shopping!
Happy Thanksgiving from our growing family!!!
