Hailey's First Zoo Trip

We have been having some breaks between rain storms this week, so I felt like we needed to take full advantage of the outdoors as much as possible, no matter if it was still chilly out or not.  Since Cammy had been asking to go to the zoo for the longest time recently, I thought it would be the perfect time to take the girls for Hailey's first zoo trip.  So off to the zoo we went on April 2nd.  Of course we were sad that Jason couldn't be with us, but it's probably more fun when Hailey doesn't actually sleep through half of the zoo :)

As much as Cammy talked about wanting to go to the zoo, I didn't feel like the trip started off all that great. Hailey was awake and hungry (aka: fussy), Cammy wanted to walk the whole time (good thing I brought the double BOB...ha!) which meant we were walking twice as slow as usual, and when we got to the monkeys (the one animal Cammy kept saying she wanted to see) Cammy was actually afraid to even get close enough to look at them (this also included the jaguar and gorillas).  I thought I was in for it after the first hour, but then Hailey fell asleep, the sun started to come through the clouds and Cammy got a little braver.

It's only the beginning to our zoo trips as the weather finally starts to warm up!
