Hailey's 3rd Birthday at Disneyland

Since we went to Disneyland for Cammy's 3rd birthday, we decided to make it a tradition to do it for all of the girls' birthdays. And if we time it right (like we did for Hailey's birthday trip) we don't have to pay for them to get into the parks if they aren't 3 yet.

So now that we have to work around an actual school schedule for Cammy, we decided to take Hailey's birthday trip 2 weeks before her birthday and go right after Cammy's Thanksgiving break in school. We flew down to LA on Nov. 26th and came back on Dec. 1st.

Our first day and a half in Anaheim was a real wet one! Thankfully those wet days were not our park days!!! It was a bit harder to stay busy with the weather not being all that great and not having a car to drive anywhere. So we wandered Downtown Disney more than we ever wanted and tried to stay dry by visiting restaurants and all the stores.

Just like Lego Hulk!

Hailey got her first pair of personalized ears!

In the late afternoon on Sunday, the 27th we shuttled over to the RV park where Jason's parents were staying and had a fun little get together with his parents and Jason's brother and sister-in-law who drove over from Altadena.

Monday, the 28th was our first day in the parks. We had G-ma and Grandpa (Jason's parents) with us for kid help. The sun was shining and the temps were perfect...we couldn't have asked for the weather to change for the better at any better time!!! We kicked off our 3 day hopper with Disneyland and of course the birthday girl, Hailey, was a mess for most of the day. She wouldn't get out of the stroller to take pictures with characters. She even said that Princess Aurora was scary...haha! And even though she requested certain rides, she would cry in line before the ride and then cry again after the ride if we talked to her about whether or not she liked it. Eventually towards the end of the day she started to enjoy herself, but man it was a little touch-and-go there for most of the day. Thank goodness she didn't cost anything to get in!!!

Tuesday, the 29th was our one day with no grandparent help. Instead of them coming to the park with us, they offered to take Brielle for half the day and entertain her at their RV. We took them up on that offer so we could enjoy some time with the older girls. We started our day in Disneyland again, trying to finish up some areas that we never got to on the first day. At noon we met Jason's parents in between the two parks and handed off Brielle. We then headed over to CA Adventures for Hailey's special birthday lunch at Ariel's Grotto. The princess lunch was finally where Hailey seemed to warm up to the idea of meeting the characters and she loved meeting the princesses that visited our table. After lunch we took the rest of the day to play around in CA Adventures and do things we couldn't do as easy with Brielle. We were so pleased that the tallest soled shoes that Leia could find prior to this trip worked and Hailey made the 40 inch cutoff mark for all the exciting rides, like Radiator Springs, but much to our surprise (she's usually the fearless one) she was not too excited about the fast rides after the fact. At least she tried!

For riding the Radiator Springs Racers they earned themselves musical bubble wands!

Wednesday, the 30th was our last day and also an extra fun day because some of Jason's extended family were also at Disneyland this day and we were able to meet up with them. We started our day in CA Adventures finishing up everything we didn't get to the day before and then in the late afternoon we went back to Disneyland and wrapped up the last few things we still were not able to get to. Cammy was thrilled to be reunited with her "cousin" (second, third, fourth removed...who knows) Sophia!

It was hard to leave such a happy place and all the family, but we brought home lots of memories and a ton of pictures to look back on! Now it was time to get ready for the real birthday celebrations in one week!!

Back to WA we go!

Until next time Disney...it's been fun!! See you when Brielle turns 3!
