The Great Tree Hunt

This was our first year cutting down a Christmas tree this late. We went out on Dec. 10th, when usually we cut it down right after Thanksgiving. I guess most of the reasoning behind the early tree cutting is usually because I am super pregnant and never sure if baby will be early or not...ha! But with our Disneyland trip and birthday celebrations, it kind of pushed back getting a tree. And then it turned into "now or never."

So the weekend we decided to go the forecast showed rain...of course, just our luck. We tried to time it before the rain came, but as soon as we got to the tree farm it started to rain. Not exactly the conditions I like to hunt for a tree in, but we did our best with what we were given and found our tree in the end (or maybe it was more like we settled because everyone was over the rain at that point).

We love our tradition of tree hunting with the Yancey family!

Another year of tree hunting is in the books and another year of memories were made!
