Off to the Zoo We Go...

We were fortunate to have an amazing Spring weather day here in WA (feels like the first of the season) so we decided to skip all the Easter Egg hunts and take Cammy to the zoo for her first zoo trip on April 7th.  Little did we know (such new inexperienced parents we are!) the zoo would be having a major Easter event going on pretty much all day as well.  No parking in all 4 zoo lots and a line like Disneyland just to get a ticket to get in...ugh, we were ready to turn around right there!  But after walking 4 blocks from where we parked to get into the zoo, we had to make that worth it!!

Luckily once we were in we just avoided all the activity areas and made our way to see the animals.  We knew this wouldn't be our usual 4 hour zoo trip, so we were prepared.  And just as luck would have it, by the time we got into the zoo Cammy was already in need of a diaper change and a bottle.  Such is life as a parent I suppose :)

After we got all the important business items taken care of, we set off for 2 hours of animal seeing fun (had to accomplish this between the morning nap and afternoon nap of course).  Cammy seemed to enjoy looking at most of the animals if she could see them, but occassionally we would find her more interested in just the random ducks than the cool zoo animals :)  I guess this is to be expected from a 7 month old who goes to the zoo.  Needless to say, we had a good time!
