Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

We have been wanting to take our parents to the AMAZING Tulip Festival ever since we moved here and had gone ourselves.  Finally my parents were here in April when the festival was going on and we had a good day of weather, so we decided to take them.

We had high hopes that just possibly the tulips would be bloomed by the time we got there, but seeing that the amount of sun and warmth we have been getting has been very little it wasn't looking too promising.  Despite there not being many tulips opened to see, we did manage to see some BEAUTIFUL fields of daffodils!!

Can't get enough pictures of a cute baby with flowers!!

The first to bloom...such a cool picture!

A few more sunny days and pretty soon the fields will be filled with an abundance of colorful tulips!

  1. Our tulip festival is having the same blooming delay. Bummer. But those dafodils sure are beautiful. And you got some adorable pictures of Cammy by the flowers. She's getting so big. I'm glad your parents were able to visit for an entire week, what fun!!
