A Week of Fun in the Sun in Lake Tahoe

My favorite part about a vacation is the anticipation of going on it (I'm sure you think I am weird for not saying the actual vacation is my favorite part).  My least favorite part about a vacation is the day we have to come home.  I dislike, with a passion, having to give up laziness and jump right back into our normal day-to-day craziness.  So I figured I better get out of this funk quickly and blog about my vacation so I can relive all the great memories (WARNING...LOTS OF PICTURES!)...

The last week in July and first part of August we spent a week on North Shore Lake Tahoe with my parents, brother, sister-in-law and my little 6 month old niece Tatum.  We stayed at my parents' timeshare where I have been going since I was about 4 years old.  It was fun to think that I was so little when I started going there and now I am taking my daughter to start memories for her!!

Our best family photo of the week!

While in Tahoe we managed to have many visitors come see us and some that we visited too.  We had dinner at Jason's cousin's house in Zephyr Cove one night.  Jason's parents came and stayed for 3 days, my college friend Alli and her husband Adam and baby Rylan came for 2 days, my other college friend Amber and her son Cooper came for 2 days, my grandpa and grandma came for a day and my aunt Nancy and Uncle Brad came for a dinner.  It's such a blessing to know that there are so many people willing to make an effort to come and see us while we are in CA!!!

We managed to fill up our week in Tahoe with wakeboarding/boating every morning (I was a die hard wakeboarder this trip knowing that it might be a while before I get to go again)...

(it wasn't a huge hit after about an hour)

Not bad for not being on the board in over 2 years!

This trip wouldn't have been possible without my parents and we are grateful for this week spent all together!  As we start our own families, it gets harder and harder to be all together, so we learned that we have to cherish these times that we can make it all work.
