Since we sort of celebrated our birthdays on the cruise, we went more low key for my actual birthday and just spent the day doing family things. Jason was so sweet and actually took half a day off on my birthday AND the weather actually held out for us for once, so we hit up the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. We enjoyed the beautiful tulips as usual and realized Cammy is at the age where it is nearly impossible to get a picture of her smiling with the flowers (who were we kidding...she's 19 months old!!!). Seriously though, if you ever happen to be in Washington in April, make this a MUST SEE on your trip itinerary...it's more amazing in person!
Not exactly wanting to pose with the tulips

I think the happiest we got of her all day
Always love a picture with one lone tulip

If only I could get a smile...just one!

A chocolate mess!

In the evening I decided to go out to dinner with our little group of friends here. Nothing too special, just to the California Pizza Kitchen. A birthday isn't complete without a celebration with friends as well.

So I'm 30 now. There is so much that I hope to see, experience and be a part of through this next decade of my life. It's the beginning of an amazing new chapter in both Jason's and my life that we are so excited to uncover each step of the way!
