A Sunny Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Knowing that it was still so early in October, I was trying to wait to do our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch until a little later in the month.  I then started to feel pressure as I looked at all the Facebook posts on Saturday when the weather was 70 degrees and sunny.  One thing that you learn from the living in the PNW is that it is hard to pass up a BEAUTIFUL weekend of weather in the fall when you don't know if you will ever get another.  So we decided to hit up the pumpkin patch on Sunday, October 6th (with hopes of course that our pumpkins would last, uncarved, until Halloween).

Despite everyone else thinking this was the best weekend to be at the pumpkin patch we still had a great time!  Dare I say we were actually dressed inappropriately and were HOT while there???

We went to the same place as last year, The Farm at Swan's Trail, and enjoyed it even more this year now that Cammy can do all the activities (added bonus...kids 2 and under are free to do everything!!!). The pumpkin patch farms around here are amazing with all they offer for kids to do!  Cammy got to see and pet lots of farm animals, ride on horsey swings, go down slides, jump on a giant rubber trampoline thing, ride behind a tractor in a cow train, ride on peddle cars and much much more that we didn't even get to.

Peddle cars with daddy

Oh shoot, wasn't the whole reason we went to the pumpkin patch to actually GET PUMPKINS???  I almost forgot to add that into this blog post because we just had so much fun doing everything else they had to offer!  We did top off our trip with picking out pumpkins and managed to come home with 4 (I guess the 4th one will just have to be for "sissy").  Cammy picked out her own pumpkin this year, which was fun to see :)

Ready to go find our pumpkins

It's fall weekends like this one that make me the happiest, so I am glad we were able to do something fun together as a family!
