Doing the Puyallup

Every summer Washington has two state fairs: the Evergreen State Fair, which is a little smaller and lasts for a shorter time and the Puyallup Fair, which is bigger and lasts longer.

Jason and I have gone to the Puyallup Fair before, but only for concerts and we would see just bits and pieces of the actual fair during those times.  This year we were back for another concert, but also wanted to take Cammy to experience the fair and for us to see a little more of it.

My AMAZING (that word doesn't even do justice in this case) mom took time off of work and flew out here by herself just to babysit Cammy for us so we could go to the Carrie Underwood concert!!!  We knew we needed to make the few days she was here extra special for all of her efforts, so we did just that.

On Friday, Sept. 13th we took my mom to the Puyallup Fair for a few hours and we all got to experience it through a toddler's eyes.  We went straight for the kiddie rides, which much to our surprise Cammy LOVED and was brave enough to do some all by herself!!  It was truly awesome to watch how much fun Cammy had and how much she loved to do it all with her Grams and daddy (sadly, I was unable to go on rides due to being pregnant).  After the rides we checked out all the animal exhibits and ate some yummy fair food before sending my mom and Cammy off in our car to head back home while we stayed at the fair for the concert!  I don't think moms get any more amazing than that!!!

Our friends Nick and Lindsey met up with us at the fair for the Carrie Underwood concert and let me tell you...Carrie Underwood did not disappoint!  It was another awesome concert from her and another great little double date night for us!
