Berry Fun!

Since moving to WA, I have discovered that one of my all time favorite things to do in the summer is go berry picking!  There's nothing better than the satisfaction from picking your own fruit and watching your kids (and yourself) eat berries that you just picked...it's priceless!

Sadly this year Jason was on a work trip in Germany when we decided to go (couldn't pass up the beautiful weather) so I took my parents with me to help with the girls and do their very first berry picking here in WA on June 22nd.

We went to Biringer Farms again this year and learned from last year that we didn't need to pick quite as many berries as we had before.  Cammy wasn't as into it as she was last year, but she did enjoy the tractor ride we got to go on around the whole farm and then the pony ride she went on after we were done picking berries.  While riding the pony for her very first time she couldn't stop saying "Mom, I love riding this pony...this is so fun!"

We came home with shortcake and a good amount of berries (strawberries and raspberries) to enjoy dessert and breakfast the next morning.  Now that all the berries are gone and Jason wasn't able to go, there is a great excuse to go back and do it all again!!
