Hailey's First Swim Lesson

Ever since Hailey was born she has proven to be a water baby.  She didn't mind her first bath at the hospital, she loved to splash in the bathtub (soaking everyone and everything) from very early on, and she had no problem sticking her face in the water and getting wet (this was all so unlike her big sister).  We knew she would love swimming whenever we started her in lessons and she did not disappoint at her first lesson.

On January 16th, Hailey started in the parent/child swim lessons at the Lynnwood Parks and Rec. Instantly she splashed in the water, could hardly pay attention to the songs we were singing as a group and just wanted to play!  The only problem with this kid is that playing is all she wants to do. Anything structured does not really interest her.  Let her splash and "drink" the water and she is good to go!  We'll have to work on the structure a little each week.

Now while we watch Cammy do her swim lesson first, we have to work really hard to hold Hailey off from crawling directly into the pool fully clothed.  She wants to be in there, not just sitting and watching other kids swim!
