Maiden Voyage of Timeshare

Back at the end of May/beginning of June we visited Lake Chelan for the first time with my parents through their timeshare trade.  We liked it so much and thought it would be the perfect place for our family to vacation when travel by plane isn't as easy, so we decided to buy our own unit there.  Our first week in our timeshare was Sept. 18-25.

The view from our unit never gets old

The first few nights we had our friends Nick, Lindsey and their daughter Penelope join us.  We managed to pack in lots of swimming, roasting marshmellows at the fire pit, a few winery visits and time around Wapato Point.

Friends are like family...especially these ones!

After the Yanceys left, we had time to realize that the resort actually seemed quite empty.  Must have been the time of the year since all the kids were back in school.  We made our own fun playing at the beach, swimming in the indoor and outdoor pool, playing mini golf, doing a few of the activities that the activities center offered (one being a scavenger hunt that we were the only ones doing...ha!) and visiting the little town of Chelan.

Cammy wanted to mini golf every day!

Scavenger Hunt time

The girls got a make-your-own puzzle for doing the scavenger hunt

Leaving day photo...until next time!

Our BIG moment of this trip was that Cammy swam ALL ON HER OWN!!!  This was the first time that she had the confidence to try it and she became really excited at being able to swim short little
distances.  This girl is just like her mommy and only does things in own time.

As always we enjoyed our family time in our new little vacation spot and loved having friends to enjoy it with.  Looking forward to next time when it will be covered in snow AND we will have a new addition to the family!!!
