Memorial Day Weekend in Chelan

Our first Chelan trip of the year was Memorial Day weekend this year, May 26- 31. This was by far our most favorite time in Chelan because there were lots of people leading up to Memorial Day, the crowds lessened after the holiday and the temps were so nice and warm the whole week (minus one night with a really cool thunderstorm and a little rain)!! Our timeshare at Wapato had so many little kids this week that it was actually fun to go to some of the activities because there would be kids our kids' ages there as well.

Sadly we chose to cut this amazing week short by a day and a half because I didn't want Cammy to miss out on her last field trip of the school year where the kindergarten was going to the farm. It's getting harder and harder to find ways to do our 4 weeks in Chelan as we get more involved in school each year and feel more guilty taking the kids out for a week at a time.

Now that Cammy is riding a bike with no training wheels, we decided to take up all of our bikes. We scrambled days before leaving buying a bike rack for the car and upgrading Cammy's bike to a bigger size that fit her a little better. We didn't really ride our bikes as much as we hoped this trip, but plan to continue to bring them back with us again this summer.

We look like we are really going on a family trip now with that bike rack!

Since the weather was so nice we decided to visit one of our favorite places in Chelan, Slide Waters. We enjoyed a full day at the water park (unlike last time we went and only spent a few hours) and had an absolute blast!

Lazy river was a favorite for these 3 little fish

The rest of our time in Chelan was spent at the fire pit, swimming in the pool, playing mini golf, playing at the beach and going to our favorite little BBQ at Lake Chelan Winery. And if you wonder why Hailey is not in a lot of the pictures, it's because she decided to be a little stinker and only wanted to be with daddy. Cammy, Brielle and myself didn't have time to wait around for her, so we would just go off and do things until she was ready to join us. Every family has to have at least one kid like this, right?!

S'mores!
