Meeting the Newest Little Lumsden and Bucket List #10 and #11

Jason's brother Brian, his wife Bree and their new little baby Kinsley came to visit us on July 29- August 3. They were on their way to spend a week in Alaska with Jason's parents who were RVing up there and figured that a stop to see us for a few days would be fun.

We were so excited for their visit because this was our first time getting to meet the newest addition to the Lumsden family...baby Kinsley!!! The girls were thrilled to have another cousin and of course they love babies, so they were beside themselves during their visit. Uncle Brian and Auntie Bree were an added bonus, but we all know babies are the ones that we want to see the most!!

Great Aunt Faith wanted to meet Kinsley also, so she stopped by for a little visit at our house on their first full day in WA after we got back from going to lunch in the Town Center. Seeing Great Aunt Faith was one of Cammy's "Summer Bucket List" items, so she checked another activity off of her list.

Since it's pretty rare that we are all together, we wanted to capture this special time together with pictures with our favorite photographer, Kristin Harris. This was sort of a surprise for Jason and Brian's parents. They asked for pictures of all of their grandkids together, so we took these pictures and had some prints set out at their condo for when they arrived back from Alaska. They loved them and it was a fun little surprise!!

On July 31st we ventured a little further from home and visited the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium (about an hour and fifteen min drive South from our house). We enjoyed seeing the animals but I think most of all the girls, especially Kinsley, loved seeing the fish and various aquarium animals up close and personal!!

On August 1st we took a ferry ride over to Whidbey Island to explore a little and have lunch. This checked another activity off of Cammy's "Summer Bucket List!" The girls loved riding the ferry, but I think we picked the wrong day for visiting the island, as apparently Tuesdays are the day that a lot of places are closed. Who would have thought?! It was fun to get out and see some places that we take for granted living so close to.

We had a really fun time being together so it was sad to have to say goodbye! The girls were especially sad to say goodbye to their new cousin Kinsley. It's times like these that make me wish even more that we all lived closer together so we could see each other more often.
