So on March 23rd we took Cammy out of school early, since it was an early release day for conference week anyway, and we headed to Great Wolf Lodge for a one night stay.
We didn't have any help from grandparents this time, but it was still a ton of fun with just the 5 of us and totally doable since it was only for one night this time instead of the usual two that we have done previous times.
Jason and I would take turns staying with the littles while one of us would go on the bigger slides with Cammy. We even managed to talk Hailey into going down one of the big tube slides with Jason and Cammy. She didn't seem terrified, but didn't want to do it again. And of course I like to keep it real on here...we thought it would be a fine idea to send Brielle (she is our "daredevil try anything once" kid) down one of the body slides by herself since you can't have them sit on your lap. Well that was a horrible idea and the poor kid fell backwards right at the beginning and then continued to flip around coming head first down the slide at the end. Thank goodness for her lifejacket and the lifeguard right at the bottom ready to catch her with me. I think we semi-traumatized her after that experience, as she still talks about it today!
We love having this little indoor waterpark within driving distance for us when we just need a little escape from the real world. It was a great 24 hour break from the day-to-day chaos we like to call "life."
One of their favorite parts is the bunk bed!
Lunch break
Ropes challenge
Hanging out on the floating beaver
Day one complete!
We always have to watch the Clock Tower show in our jammies!
Cuties in their puddle jumpers
Swimming with daddy before heading home
