Ready to go to see The Little Mermaid Jr!
My favorite Hailey quote of the night was after we had gotten our seats and were listening to the orchestra play some music from the movie for a bit waiting for the delayed show to start. Hailey looked at me and said, "This is kind of boring, when do we get to play?" She was unclear what a play was and she thought that meant she got to actually play, not watch people act. I couldn't help but giggle!!
Ideally I would have liked to take the girls to one of the matinee shows, but it was while we were at Great Wolf Lodge. So I decided to chance it and take them to the final night at 7pm on March 30th. I figured we would be out of there around 8:30 so it wouldn't be too late. Of course it didn't go that way at all. There were over 100 people waiting to get tickets at the door for an already sold out show, but they decided to add more chairs to accommodate as many more people as possible. This delayed the start of the show by almost 30 mins!! Then the intermission ended up being a bit longer because we learned that the kid playing Prince Eric got sick. And then with it being the final night they did a lot of awards and things after the play, which I just felt awkward walking out on. So we were finally out of there by 9:30 and at this point I was barely able to keep both kids awake (thank you to candy for keeping them going until the very last moment...I even had to sacrifice my own candy). We all enjoyed the play though. I was shocked at how well done it was for only being middle schoolers!!
Loaded up on candy and ready for the play to begin
