Meet the Newest Addition to Our Household....KEELA!!!

Ever since Coda got out of the puppy phase, we had been thinking that we needed to get him a buddy (sometimes our cat Rascal is just not enough).  We talked with our breeder, Sandi, and she luckily just had a litter of puppies that had one little girl that she thought would be perfect for us.  We never met the little girl, just saw a picture, but we have always trusted Sandi to find a good match for us like she did with Coda.

On Dec. 17th after work, we finally got to go pick up our newest little Shiba girl...Keela!!!  She was perfect!  She was calm, loveable and played great with Coda.  We were so excited to take her home!!

All went better than we had thought once we got home.  Rascal wasn't really bothered with another dog in the house, as long as she didn't bother him.  And Coda was curious, but still a little protective of his toys and personal space.  But Coda and Keela played together just like we had hoped!

And after a night of playing, Keela was tired and ready for bed!  I must say....so was everyone else in the house as well :)

Keela's first two full days at home were a total success.  Her and Coda learned how to play nice, with the occassional intervention when it got a little too rough.  She seems to follow Coda with whatever he does, so we are proud that he is just a well behaved dog!!  We LOVE the new dynamics in the house!!!
