A Wonderful Christmas Indeed!

This was our second year of spending Christmas at home here in WA with no family.  We don't mind it when it only happens every few years.  It's nice to not have anywhere to go, nobody to entertain, and no reason to get out of our jammies if we don't feel like it.  It makes our break feel so much longer too!!

Don't get me wrong, we do miss being with our families, but thanks to phones, we are able to talk to our parents and siblings all throughout the day!

Our Christmas was a little more special this year because we had our new little puppy, Keela, to spend it with.  Nobody was in a super hurry to wake-up this year, so we waited for the littlest one to wake us up to go potty before we started to get up.

The morning started off with both of us getting "photo ready."  You got it right...we like to shower before presents so we can look our best in our family Christmas photos.  No bed head for us!!  And look at how great it turns out when we are looking top notch!!

Our family photo Christmas morning (got a little more tricky with 3 pets!)

After our family photo, we spent the next part of our morning watching all 3 of our adorable pets dig into their stockings.  Yes I know we sound silly...but until we have kids, this is what gives us joy!

Coda was so excited he got his head stuck in his stocking!

Keela was trying to reach the "bullystick" at the bottom of her stocking

Rascal trying to get to his treats and catnip filled toy

After much excitement of watching our pets become so happy over their treats, we then decided we should probably break into our gifts as well.  We were quite happy with everything that we got this year...and then some!!

Jason showing off his presents...the Kindle was a favorite!

Leia showing off all her fun stuff!

We hung out in our jammies for most of the day, and thanks to having some great friends in WA, we spent Christmas dinner with Nick and Lindsey and Nick's family.  It's always nice to know that when we aren't with family, we have friends that will take care of us :)

Nick's parents and brother, us, Nick and Lindsey and lots of doggies!

I sort of loved the cookies Lindsey made!!!

It was definitely a great Christmas this year spent with great friends, furry pets, and lots of love!!!  And Keela did a wonderful job of summing up how we felt by the end of the night...
