A Day All About Mom!!

For the past few years I have tried to convince Jason that I should be able to celebrate Mother's Day because I am the mom to pets.  It really is a fulltime job to take care of a cat and two dogs you know!  He never really went for it despite all of my pleading.  Last year seemed a little more legit because I was actually pregnant.  But this year I really got to feel the love on this special day because I am FINALLY a mommy to more than just a cat and two dogs!

What a special first Mother's Day this was today!  Jason and Cammy spoiled me rotten with amazing gifts and just a special day in general.  We had nearly 80 degree weather today so we hit up some antique shopping (I have never really done this until today), a yummy lunch, and a little river walk in downtown Snohomish.  I couldn't get enough of this weather and refused to go home, so we drove to the house and picked up the dogs and headed out to our nearby town center in Mill Creek.  We took some old bread with us and walked along a nice little trail where we found a large group of ducks and some geese (two little goslings too!!)...and boy did they love us!!

I must say I feel kind of guilty for not making a bigger deal about Mother's Day to my mom over the past years! I guess I just never realized how hard parenthood was until I had to do it myself.  Now I appreciate my mom and mother-in-law more than ever and will forever show that to them!!  Mothers are truly amazing people!!!! 

Thank you to my mom and mother-in-law for showing me what an amazing mom looks like and giving me the encouragement every day to be a great mom to Cammy!!!
