A Visit From Grams and Gramps

For my mom's very last Spring Break before she retires at the end of May, they decided to come spend it with us!!!  And I was lucky enough to have my birthday fall during this visit also, so extra bonus to an already great week!  We always love when family is here, but it's even better when the weather is beautiful (even if it's just for part of the time) like it was this week in April.

Nice weather in WA means that we don't really sit at home and we stay busier than usual.  We managed to squeeze in some fun park playtime and the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival (followed up by some yummy ice cream!).

There's just something about the bright red tulips...

Picnic lunch and ice cream to end the day

Of course the rain had to show up mid week when it was finally my birthday.  So to ring in my 31st we celebrated in style by going to the Everett children's museum and then to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Doesn't that sound like what every 31 year old wants to do for their birthday?!  Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Apparently I was in a stripe mood today :)

Birthday cake to end the day!

It was so fun to have my parents with us for a week and it was a great start to my 31st year!!!  Here's to making many more memories as a family!!
