A Day at the Races

Jason got a deal through Boeing for the Emerald Downs horse races.  $1 for admission, a program and some food.  This would usually be a $20 cost, so we had to take advantage of it!  We couldn't have asked for a better day either...mid 80s and sunny, what else could you ask for?!

The races were fun, but maybe a little long for Cammy.  We did a little betting and won two of the six races we bet on, but still walked away with a little bit of a loss.  Oh well.  My theory on gambling is this...if your money lasts you a long time and you are having fun, it doesn't matter if you walk away ahead or in the hole.  It's just fun to see the horses race in person and be able to jump up and down screaming when your horse comes around the corner in first place :)

After a long day at the races, Cammy was out cold on the drive home.  I think this was about how all of us were feeling after being in the warm sun all afternoon.
