First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage...

Over this past weekend Jason, Cammy and I flew back home to attend my cousin's wedding.  It was a whirlwind trip, but so worth it to be able to see ALL of the family again.

We flew into Sac bright and early on Friday and spent a few hours at my brother's house visiting with them and letting our girls play together.  We then made a quick stop at my parents' house to load things up and get in a little playtime on the playset there and then we were off again to head to the wedding in Orland, CA.

There really isn't much in Orland or near there.  We stayed at an Indian Casino about 15 mins away from the wedding site, which felt like the middle of nowhere.  An interesting two days with a 16 month old and an 11 month old as we tried to entertain them in a casino hotel and a city that the biggest attraction was an olive tasting place called The Olive Pit.

The wedding was Saturday, January 12th.  It was a fairly large wedding held in a Catholic church.  Having a very mobile 16 month old try and sit quietly through a wedding was tough, but we came armed and ready and Cammy spent most of the wedding watching YouTube videos on silent and eating LOTS of snacks (until she was bored with all of that and then we were doomed).  Thank goodness for Grams and Gramps being there too so they could help entertain!!

The reception was a whole different story.  Lots of drinking, loud music and techno lighting.  It was one wild country party!  With little naps during the day, Cammy was unable to stay awake at the reception and ended up falling asleep on Grams' lap for a little bit.  And once again, thanks to Grams and Gramps, they took the girls back to the hotel part way through the reception and left us parents there to enjoy the party (kid free)!  Cammy and her cousin Tatum had a little sleepover with their grandparents for the night and we all enjoyed a  peaceful night of sleep (a rarity these days).

On the day we headed back home, we did a few quick pictures with the girls and then said our goodbyes (my least favorite part these days since I never know when we will be together again).

And if you know anything about Jason and I, when we come back to CA, we pack our days full of as many visits as we can!  So right when we got home we headed over to Jason's parents' house where we had a dinner planned with his parents, great grandma Lolly, my parents, some other extended family and my college friend Alli and her one and half year old Rylan.

It was a crazy trip full of family visits, but we were sure glad to be able to go!  It's becoming few and far between when we all get to be together these days!!

Congrats Luke and Jenna on a beautiful marriage!!!
We feel blessed to have been a part of it!
