Hittin' the Slopes

The day after Christmas we decided to go with the Florida relatives (Aunt Jackie, Uncle Randy and cousins Charity and Chris) to Stevens Pass to do a little snowboarding/skiing.  Since there is a lack of snow in Florida (go figure!), they don't get to do winter sports nearly as often as we do.  So while Jackie, Charity and Chris all spent the first half of the day in lessons, the rest of us hit the mountain to see how much we could remember (at least for me it had been 3 years since I had gone snowboarding).

Surprisingly it only took me a few runs to get the hang of it again and we ended up having a full fun day on the mountain.  Weather couldn't have been much better and the crowds weren't nearly as bad as we expected them to be.

Thanks G-ma and Grandpa Scott for watching Cammy for us all day.  As much as we missed her, it was great to be out doing something that we have really missed the last few years!!
