Easter Festivities 2015

Easter weekend really snuck up on us this year seeing that it was the first weekend in April. We jammed packed as many Easter activities as we could leading up to the big day, including practice egg hunts throughout our house.

A visit with the Easter Bunny was our first activity of the Easter week. Clearly as you can see from the picture, this did not go too well...for Hailey at least! And in case you are wondering, yes I do ask myself every year why I do this to my poor kids and myself.

On the Saturday, April 4th we walked down to the high school to take part in their big community egg "hunt" (less of a hunt and more like a mad dash for visible eggs). Cammy was very excited this year and totally knew what to do, but Hailey seemed pretty intimidated by the large crowds and didn't really care to be a part of the egg collecting (daddy carried her out on her field and helped her collect at least one egg). Surprisingly Cammy really wanted to have her picture with the Easter Bunny here also, so we waited in line for the picture at her request.

Easter Sunday was on the 5th. We didn't have any family in town for it this year, so we celebrated with our friends (who are practically family by this point). The morning started off with Easter baskets and filled Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny had left for the girls. Then we headed off to church where both girls did great (Hailey slept that was a huge bonus). After church our friends came over for a yummy Easter dinner and backyard egg hunt. This was our first year that we ALL had kids, so it was an extra special egg hunt.
