The Tulip Festival is one of our favorite things to do in the Spring. It's the best place to capture some colorful pictures of flowers, family and the kids. Usually we visit the tulips around my birthday in mid April , but this year the tulips bloomed a few weeks early and if we didn't get out to see them in the beginning of April we might have missed them. Crazy weather this year caused for an early bloom.
Jason took a day off to go see the tulips with us on April 2nd. It was a chilly, windy, clear day and the colors were as beautiful as always. The kids loved smelling the flowers, walking through them and Hailey even attempted to pick some of them. What more fun could a kid ask for than a puddle stomping, rain boot wearing, flower smelling day??!!

My favorite color tulips
Hailey of course wanted to stomp in puddles like her big sis
Don't worry, she found this tulip already broken off on the ground
(we would not let her pick any)
Our best attempt at a sister picture while having a snack
Jason had to carry Hailey so she wouldn't stomp in anymore puddles
(girl needs her own pair of rain boots!)
