Jason started the day off with Hailey on the learning hill where she rode the magic carpet up the hill and practiced her turning and stopping when coming down. She had to master those two things before she could move onto the ski lift hills. I took off with Cammy on the bigger slopes and after a few runs we came and checked in with Jason and Hailey.
Much to our surprise Hailey mastered the skills needed to go on a ski lift and was ready to try it out. So we all went up together on the bunny hill lift for Hailey's first big run and she did amazing getting on and off the lift!!! We were so proud!
And let me tell you, this girl has no fear! She takes off down the hill without looking back and does quick little turns all the way down at a pretty fast speed. Even if she falls, she somehow gracefully pops right back up without even stopping. And this girl has already got her skis going parallel and not in the pizza position with the nose of the skis pointed together. She's amazing!!!
We had a fun day in the sun and didn't really want to quit. Sadly this was mine and Hailey's last time up to the snow for the season because not much snow fell after we were there and the conditions slowly just got less fun.
Hopefully next year Brielle will be in this picture with us!
Skiing with my friend Jana and her girls, Kyla and Kara
Doing a run with Cammy
Going on the chairlift with Hailey for the first time!!!
And they are ready to go down the bunny hill
(Cammy was being nice doing something really easy for her to make Hailey feel comfortable)
Here's to many more seasons of skiing as a family!!!
