State Fair- Bucket List #15

I really wanted to make it to the Evergreen State Fair before it ended so that way we could do the closer of the two state fairs. And since this was on Cammy's "Summer Bucket List" we had to get it done! So despite Jason being laid up sick after Cammy's birthday festivities, I decided to still go and take my in-laws with me. We went on "Kids Day" on August 31st and honestly I'm not sure what made it a special kids day because I sure didn't see anything special for kids. I did enjoy the smaller crowds being on a weekday though.

The girls had a lot of fun. We pretty much saw 2 different areas of the fair...the rides and the animals (the animals were forced upon the kids just so we could have a break from the rides). And there were lots of little snack breaks in between it all to keep the girls cool on a hot August summer day. I suppose we did manage to squeeze in 2 different shows as well...animal races and a lumberjack show (this was more for my father-in-law who loves this kind of stuff, but the rest of us enjoyed it still too). Who needs all that other stuff at the fair anyway?!
