We really couldn't be more proud of Cammy. She has really blossomed into an extraordinary little individual. She is an amazing friend and is good at being everyone's friend. She is a super helpful and loving big sister. And she is usually down to try anything and loves new experiences. We couldn't have asked for a better first born!!
For her birthday this year we had a Lego Friends themed party with friends a few days before her actual birthday on August 26th. We celebrated at Pump It Up and all of the kids seemed to have a great time! And us parents, we definitely enjoyed stepping back and letting someone else be in charge of the party, set-up and clean-up!

On her actual birthday, August 29th, the whole family plus both sets of grandparents spent the day at Remlinger Farms. This also helped to check off Cammy's 14th "Summer Bucket List" item. It was a pretty warm day at the farm, but we had a blast going on some rides, checking out some animals and riding the ponies...at least 5 times for the birthday girl!! Brielle learned that she loved the "neighs" as she liked to call them and she frequented pony rides almost as much as Cammy did! Hailey on the other hand was good with one ride and watched the rest.

After a long day at the farm (did I mention that the farm was AFTER swim lessons that morning for both Hailey and Cammy?!) we headed home to change out of our dirty sweaty clothes and then headed to Cammy's birthday dinner at her choice of restaurant...Olive Garden. We brought presents there and she loved the big family celebration. She even got some special treatment for her birthday (or maybe it was because one of our kids was crying and making a scene from falling out of their chair...it all blurs together when you're a parent) and got to have a little tour of the kitchen from the manager of the restaurant.
I really can't believe that we are the parents to a SIX YEAR OLD now! It doesn't really seem possible. I continue to soak up all the time I have with this kid though because I know one day soon (hopefully not too soon) she won't want anything to do with her parents. Until that time, we will build Legos, explore outside and go on fun adventures together.
This what she was hoping for...

Such a lucky girl to have two sets of super involved grandparents!!
