Hailey Turns 4!

And just like that we have a 4 year old as of Dec. 12th!!

Hailey is a sensitive, silly, emotional, loving girl who loves taking on the role of biggest sister while Cammy is at school. She is really into baby dolls and princesses and we can often find her playing "mom and dad" and other make believe things with her sisters. Out of all the kids, she is the best sleeper (goes to bed easy and usually sleeps in) but by far the pickiest eater. She is stubborn when it comes to learning her letters, but she finally has mastered writing her own name. She loves to swim and actually is beginning to swim on her own a bit. She has tried a few different activities such as soccer and gymnastics, but finds that she keeps wanting to go back to gymnastics (we are happy to keep her in gymnastics as she has proven to have that upper body strength that is needed for that sport). She doesn't really like change and takes a long time to warm up to new situations that she isn't sure about. We sure love every bit of this 4 year old and look forward to watching her grow as she soon will enter the big kid world of school (one more year of preschool to go!).

For her actual birthday she requested we have pink waffles. So pink waffles is what she got! She then got to spend the morning in preschool with her class. I was lucky enough to get invited to come in for her special birthday treat and stay for recess, which was a lot of fun! After daddy got home from work and big sister home from school we opened presents and then had a birthday dinner with both sets of grandparents at her choice of restaurant...Red Robin of course! She requested no singing and only the birthday sundae (that's a first).
