The Great Christmas Tree Hunt 2017

Last year when we got our tree at our usual place, we noticed that there weren't too many tall trees to choose from. So we decided to try out a new place this year called Lochsloy Acres. It was a nice tree farm. It had some good tall trees to choose from, a cute little atmosphere, sleds to pull your cut tree down tree on, free hot chocolate and hot apple cider. I didn't really like that it was kind of right off the road rather than down a beaten path where you really feel like you're in the woods more. But all in all it was a place that we would probably return to.

We got our tree really early this year (Nov. 25th) since we knew our December weekends were packed and a rule here in WA is "when it's not raining, just get out and do it" so that is exactly what we did! Jason's dad was nice and joined us for our tree cutting adventure this year and brought his big truck so we had something to haul our tree in. I loved that all the girls were walking around this year, it wasn't too cold at all, not raining (like last year) and everyone seemed to pitch in with the cutting and carrying. Christmas tree cutting is one of my most favorite Christmas traditions that I will always continue as long as I live!! Thanks mom and dad for making this a fun memory for me as a kid!
