Keela's First Trip to the Dog Park

Ever since we brought Keela home and realized how much energy she had, we had been waiting for the day that we could take her to the dog park to unleash her inner craziness!!

Well now that she is finally 6 months old and spayed (no getting frisky at the dog park for this little one), we ventured out on a sunny weekend took Keela and Coda to Willis Tucker dog park.

We envisioned this dog running as fast as her little legs would carry her as soon as we let her off the leash.  We pictured her stealing toys from other dogs and getting into fights.  Much to our surprise, she stuck with us for over half of our time at the park and seemed to get quite nervous when another dog would come near her.  But once she figured out it was safe, she took off chasing Coda and we could hardly keep up!

Here are a few of the pictures we captured once she finally felt comfortable being herself...

Running full speed chasing Coda...through the MUD!

And we thought Shibas liked to be clean...right!

Watch out...she is coming right at you!

Now that's one happy and tired dog!

Overall...a success!!
Can't wait for the next sunny weekend that we can all go back for some more fun!

A Visit from our Oregon Friends!

There are very few people that we stay in touch with from High School, but one of those few people happen to be our good friends Shawn and Kristina Skinner.  They moved to Oregon a while ago and during those past few years we have managed to get together whether here or there for little visits.  This time Shawn was on his Spring Break and they decided to come see us for a little visit.

We LOVE visiting with the Skinners because we always have so much to talk about and we really enjoy being around their 3 adorable kids: Jefferson, Grant and Reagan.

We enjoyed a nice long visit at our favorite kid-friendly spot...good old Red Robin!!!  Thanks for making time to come see us Shawn and Kristina!!!
