Tubing Time!

Last winter we went tubing up at Snoqualmie and really had a fun time! So this year I wanted to do it again, especially since the kids were a bit older and Brielle would hopefully be able to hang without a major meltdown from hunger and tiredness this time.

We went up to the snow on Jan. 5th and the weather couldn't have been more perfect! Actually, it was almost too warm and for us parents who were pulling around the kids most of the time, we were definitely sweating!

This year Hailey got brave and rode down the hill without a parent and she loved it! We were so impressed that she was willing to try it, but since she does most everything that Cammy does I guess she had to keep up. And Brielle lasted just about the whole session and seemed to enjoy switching between me and Jason as riding buddies. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves!

Ready to tube!

They sure have a sweet ride with us pulling them!

It can only keep getting better as the kids keep getting older and more self sufficient...right?!

New Years Day

On New Years Day we decided to do 2 of our favorite things...Jason and Cammy went up for some skiing and Hailey, Brielle, my mom and myself hit up the zoo.

Jason and Cammy had a great day on the slopes. Cammy is improving a ton with her skiing and building up her confidence a little more each time she goes. This is by far her favorite thing to do in the winter!!

At her favorite place!

These two are quite the pair on the slopes

The rest of us had a great time at the zoo. Despite it being kind of chilly we really appreciated the sun and loved some of the different animal sightings we got that we don't usually have...like the mountain goats and their babies!!!!

The two babies, Zeus and Daisy, are on the rocks

A zoo trip is never complete without a carousel ride

We all had a great day doing the things we love to do and kicking off the new year the best way we could!

NYE Shenanigans

We switched things up this New Years Eve and decided to do a little daytime fun with an early countdown for the kids. So we took the girls rollerskating at the Everett Skate Deck and Cammy brought along 2 of her school friends. The girls had a great time skating and at the end of the session they did a countdown and balloon drop with special prizes in some of the balloons. This was a really fun way for the kids to ring in the new year and something we would probably do again!!

Almost time for the balloon drop!

Happy New Year!

After skating we came home and put on our jammies and celebrated the East Coast NYE at 9pm. This was the first time we tried this and it totally worked (for the ones who can't tell time that is)! We got Hailey and Brielle off to bed (with a little struggle and the help of Cammy faking like she was going to sleep as well) and then let Cammy hang out with us until midnight. We enjoyed playing some older kid games and were finally able to take the time to teach Cammy the game of Clue.

Had to get a family selfie

Happy New Year East Coast time!

The dogs were a little scared by all the poppers we were setting off

It was a fun celebration this year and we are all happy to ring in a brand new year!
Happy 2019!
