Cambrynn's First Flight to Meet Cousin Tatum

Over the President's holiday weekend, we took a flight (Cammy's FIRST flight) back to CA to meet our new niece and Cammy's cousin, Tatum.  Looking back at this, I am realizing that our little baby is quite the traveler to and from CA (once at 3 weeks old by car and now at 5.5 months old by plane).

We (I should probably just say "I") stressed over the this flight for a while.  Not having any idea of how it would go, but by the end of the trip, we both agreed that flying is the only way to go from now on when visiting CA!!  We probably looked like two stressed out, first time flying with a baby parents while our baby just had a great old time :)

The flight there was a learning experience, but the flight home was so much more of a breeze with it not being a full flight and being able to bring Cammy's carseat on for free.  She slept literally the whole entire flight in her carseat!!!

Being back in CA was nice.  We didn't waste any time seeing family, as we visited with both of our families the night we got in.  And boy were they excited to see their granddaughter again!!!

The rest of the weekend was jam packed full of visits with friends and family.  Cammy had a playdate with her little buddy (and mommy's college friend), Rylan, who is 9 months.  We sure enjoyed watching them interact with each other.

Cambrynn and Rylan...aren't they too cute?!

We got all of the families together for a lunch at the Lumsden's house, which was so special to be able to see our niece and watch great grandma Dilly be with BOTH of her great granddaughters!

Check out those cute little girls!!!

I think they are talking to each other :)

My grandma and cousin came all the way from Santa Barbara to see the babies!

Jason's brother and his wife came up from Pasadena

Since we happened to be in town on the same weekend as both of Jason's parents' birthdays, us kids took them out to dinner in Downtown Placerville to celebrate.  It was Glenda's wish to have all of her kids and her granddaughter together for her birthday!

The following day we all gathered at the Friedrichs' house for another family get together.  It's always so special when we can get most of the extended family together at one time!!

On the last day that we were in CA, we decided to just spend some time with both of our families in Old Town Folsom.  And since Brian and Bree flew out this day, we decided to make a quick visit in Sac with Jason's cousin, Erin and her brand new week old baby, Ella.

It was a GREAT visit home!  Makes me wish we all lived closer so we could do it more often!
And just to leave you with a smile, here is Cammy waiting to fly back home...
