Our Baby is ONE!!

On August 29th, our baby girl turned ONE!!!

 The Birthday Girl!

It still hasn't really sunk in that we have a one year old in the house!  It was a little emotional the few days before her birthday remembering where we were at that time one year ago.  We were just moving into our new house, we had both sets of parents staying with us in our new house, dealing with all the unpacking on one of the hottest days of the year and I was sitting around watching everyone with my big swollen feet (it might sound nice, but I really wanted to be a part of the organizing).

It's incredible to think of all the things Cambrynn has learned in just one year too!!  She is very close to walking, but hasn't quite gained the confidence to go off on her own.  She cruises along furniture very fast and occassionally will break free and stand for a short period of time.  She is talking ALL the time now, which provides for some really fun conversations.  She has become quite a picky eater, but if you give her a cheese stick it makes everything better!  She still only has 4 teeth, but what do we know...she won't open her mouth for us so for all we know she could have a ton of teeth in the back :)  And she has made really good friends with the dogs now that she knows how to drop food from her highchair and feed them.

We had a great time celebrating on her actual birthday.  Both sets of her grandparents flew in, along with one of Jason's grandmas.  We took them with us to Color Me Mine and made a plate with Cammy's handprints.  She did not like her hands getting painted at all, so we put on quite the show for anyone else in that place who was trying to paint in peace.

(Are we mean parents for making our kid cry on her birthday?)

After making the handprint plate we headed over to our favorite kid friendly restaurant, Red Robin, and had a fun dinner with all the family.  Cammy got sung to and even got a few spoonfuls of her first ice cream sundae.  She seemed to really enjoy that!

Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!

That's one yummy sundae!!!

It was truly a special day for all of us and even more special that her grandparents and one of her great grandmas could be here to celebrate with us!!  Here's to another exciting year of learning and growing!!
