Exploring the Ballard Locks

On August 25th, my parents, the kids and I took a little morning trip over to the Ballard Locks.  It was a beautiful day and we were super lucky to see all the sights that we saw in our one visit...big boats, seals, otters and salmon.

A visit to the Locks is never complete unless you see at least one insanely expensive and crazy large boat...and that we did!!  We all wondered what it would be like to have as much money as these people.  Most people don't even own half of what was on the boat and here are these people with ALL of this ON their boat!  Yes, that is a smaller boat ON the big boat, next to two wave runners, next to a spa!  There were also paddleboards on there as well. Do you think there is an indoor mini golf course on the inside????

And although there wasn't much salmon at this time, like we thought there would be, we were lucky to see at least two and also spot these cute little otters...
