Playing Tourist in Seattle- Bucket List #13

One of Cammy's "Bucket List" items was to ride the Great Wheel in Seattle. It seemed silly to come all the way to Seattle just to the do the Great Wheel and then head home. So we made a day out of it and rode the Great Wheel (check that off the "Bucket List"), ate lunch at The Crab Pot, visited Pike Place Market, and then made a quick stop at the cool (new to us) play area in the Seattle City Center on August 13th. The play area catered mostly to Cammy's age or older, so we only spent about 20 mins there just to say we checked it out.

On this day the weather took a major change from our usual summer weather and we actually left our house with it misting. We acted as true Washingtonians and braved the weather. I was so happy we did because when we arrived in Seattle the sun was just starting to break through and the rest of the day turned out great! This is something I have learned in the 12 years we have lived in Washington...never to let the weather stop you.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the day. The Great Wheel was a hit for everyone (thank goodness), Pike Place was a little overwhelmingly crowded, and the play area was fun to finally be able to check out.

I was barely able to fit us all in in the picture!

Sometimes it's fun to be a tourist in your own city!
