This year seemed to be my favorite out of all the times we have been to Chelan. Brielle no longer needed to be put down for an afternoon nap so nobody was confined to sitting in the unit for a naptime. Instead she would just sleep wherever she felt tired. Sometimes that was at the beach, sometimes that was on a car ride or sometimes she would just fall asleep on the couch while we made dinner. This just made life so much simpler! And we realized that all the girls are at ages where they can all do fun things. No more little babies for us...we are moving up in the world!!
The first two days we found ourselves just bouncing between the pool and the lake. Then eventually we discovered that we had more fun at the lake with the sand to play in and lots of fun floaties to float on so we spent most of our time down there. We enjoyed ending our days with s'mores at the fire pit and a bike ride here and there
.
The best view while swingin'
Crazy how much they change in a year!

The Shoreline Grill's shaved ice and ice cream are always a favorite!
Monday we spent the day at Slide Waters and had a great time playing in the water to stay cool. The girls tired out by mid afternoon and then we headed over to Jason's parents' RV to have dinner (the arrived on this day and planned to stay until the end of the week when we headed home).
Hailey loved the slides this year!
Happy Cammy on the slide
She literally would nap wherever she got tired enough
All tuckered out after a long day in the water and sun
Our girls...Cammy (almost 7), Hailey (4.5) and Brielle (2.5)
Tuesday we added a new floatie to our collection (I always seem to have floatie envy when I am at the lake and see everyone's super cool giant floaties)...a flamingo! We spent some time down at the lake with that and then took a little break to join in on one of Wapato's activities...painting driftwood and rocks. After rock painting Jason decided to rent a paddleboard and take the kids out on it. We all had a try and had some fun with it. Then we did another art activity...flip flop suncatchers. Once all the projects were completed we cleaned up and went to dinner at the Chelan Winery BBQ (one of our favorite places for dinner).
Biking with the new flamingo floaty
I guess they wanted to snorkel?
She loved filling up the bucket
I guess those are her "Vanna White hands" to show off her sand castle

Check out that smoke on one side and clearer on the other!!
Wednesday Jason's parents decided to head back home since neither of them were feeling good. So we spent the first half of the day on a waverunner that we rented. We took turns taking the kids out on it with us, which was really fun. And after a long day in the heat and sun we decided to end our day with a little indoor activity of bowling in downtown Chelan.

Taking a walk down to the lake
Another crazy smokey sunset
On our last full day we wanted to fit in one more day at Slide Waters. This was probably the best day we had there as it was about 107 degrees and it hardly felt that because we were staying cool in the water all day. All the girls got brave and started going down some of the bigger slides with us, so that was fun. We finally got to do a bunch of things together as a family! We stayed until dinnertime and got home just in time for one last s'more making and a round of mini golf.
Snack break!
Little kid pool area
Staying cool in the little kid area
Brielle going down slides on her own!!
S'mores to end the day
And a little mini golf
Brielle not with her best form
Hailey did a bit better!
This was an amazing week for our family! I love making these memories with our kids and having a place that they look forward to coming to every year. I had amazing memories coming back to Edgelake in Tahoe every summer since I was just a baby. So that is what I want for my girls!
