Brielle Turns 3!

Our baby in the house is growing up! On Dec. 6th Brielle turned 3 and it just kind of seems surreal that this is possible! No joke, the third kid grows up way too fast because life sure doesn't go nearly as slow as it does when you just have one kid!!

Brielle is definitely the child that if she was our first, we would rethink ever having more. She is stubborn, snuggly, sassy, silly, wild, moody, adventurous, a free spirit, clumsy, determined, climbs on everything, a super gymnast, a tiny dancer (begging to take ballet lessons), the biggest horse lover, and most days someone I dread making mad for fear of what's to come. She can be happy one moment and then hating you the next. We tiptoe through life with this one.

We maxed out the fun for her third birthday!! Why I do this, I have no idea. Why can't I just be good with something simple?! We did just go to Disneyland to celebrate her! I guess the only answer is that I am crazy!

The day started bright and early with some presents before daddy went to work and our family favorite of donut muffins with pink frosting for breakfast. We sure know how to kick off a birthday the right way!

So many presents for this 3 year old!

I was busy volunteering in Cammy's class in the morning so my mom took Brielle and Hailey to Elevated Sportz. This has always been our tradition on third birthdays because 3 is the magic age when they can finally jump on the trampolines. Poor Brielle has had to watch her sisters jump for a while now and finally it was her day to do it!! After I finished up in the classroom I got the kids from my mom and grabbed a quick lunch with them before heading to our next place...horse riding!!!

Goofballs after a fun morning of jumping and climbing!

One of my old Stroller Strides friends, Emily, owns a horse stable nearby. So we went over to her house so Brielle could do one of her favorite things, ride a horsey!! This girl is so horse obsessed!!! One of Hailey and Brielle's good friends, Mallory (and her mom Merissa) joined us as well.

Not only did the girls get to ride a horse (his name was Robin) around the arena and also outside a bit, but they also got to help walk the horse out of and back into his stable, groom him before and after riding, prep him with the saddle and also take it off and put supplies away, and lastly they got to play dress up with him by putting in some rainbow extensions, giving him a unicorn horn, etc. Brielle and Hailey were both a little nervous at first, but Mallory got the job done right away and then the others followed little by little afterwards.

It was chilly, but the sun was out so we ventured out of the arena

After getting to ride Robin the girls got a little tour of the rest of the farm. They got to pet and feed some pigs, a bunny and chickens. It was a true farm life kind of day!! I am sure we will be back riding horses in no time!

As if this wasn't fun enough, after a little rest we frosted and decorated cupcakes that Brielle picked out (funfetti and pink frosting). After we picked up Cammy from school we came home and opened more presents and then went to the dinner at Brielle's choice...La Palmera, where she told us she did not want anyone to sing to her! This girl does LOVE to be fancy so she picked her own outfit for dinner.

We wrapped up a very long but fun 3rd birthday with cupcakes at home. She really didn't even want us to sing to her, but after some tears we convinced her it was ok. Kids really are unpredictable little fireballs...especially our fireball of all fireballs!

Thanks Cammy for another great picture!

She sure got a lot of fun gifts!

It was a fun filled day for this little 3 year old to say the least!
