Halloween Festivities 2018

Every Halloween week there never seems to be a shortage of fun for the kids...and this year was no exception. We find ourselves having to dress up in costume at least 4 different times, sometimes changing up our costume choices throughout the week.

Our Halloween activities started on Oct. 25th with Cammy's school family costume dance. We always go and seem to enjoy an hour of dancing/running around chasing friends. And of course it's always fun for all of us to get dressed up in costume!

On Oct. 26th we had Hailey's school/church Halloween carnival. They stuck with the same theme as last year, which was a bunch of carnival games where kids earn candy. It's always a lot of fun despite all the crowds.

Oct. 28th we decided to carve our pumpkins so they would be ready for Halloween! Cammy was super into it this year and basically designed, gutted and carved most of her pumpkin. Hailey was a little more brave this year with helping clean out the pumpkin and had more interest in helping carve it. Brielle was basically just into painting hers with some help from Grams.

On Oct. 30th we went to our local high school's Halloween carnival. The girls played lots of games and got loads of candy! Who needs to go trick-or-treating after all of this?!

Brielle chose a third costume change for this event...Cinderella!

Finally it was Halloween!!! Since it was a weekday, all the kids went about their normal daily activities of school. After school we got dressed up and headed over to Brookdale to have a pizza party with my dad before heading out to trick-or-treat. The weather was PERFECT this year (unlike last year when it was so cold) with clear skies. We hit up our neighboring streets for as long as the girls could last and then ended the night answering the door for the few trick-or-treaters we got once back home.

Aren't they some cute skeletons?!
