Family Photos 2018

For family pictures this year we tried something a little different and decided to try sunset pictures instead of morning time like we usually do. In the winter sunsets are hard to come by because it's usually cloudy or raining, but on Nov. 7th we lucked out with lots of sun (almost too much).

I knew this time frame would be a slight challenge due to tired kiddos and sure enough I was right. I did all I could to keep Brielle awake on the way to pictures and actually succeeded. But of course after we arrived and were getting out of the car the door got shut on Brielle's hand and that was pretty much the end of peacefulness (thank goodness her hand wasn't broken!). And of course Hailey was upset because she was the one who shut the door on Brielle's hand by accident. We were just a hot mess when pictures started.

The entire photo session was spent trying our hardest to get Brielle to smile and Hailey to cooperate. We would find short little windows when they would give smiling a try and then it would be back to attitudes, shyness and tears. It was nothing short of easy. This was the first session where I felt like we got nothing good and I felt quite disappointed. Of course our amazing photographer, Kristin Harris, didn't disappoint and managed to capture some great pictures!

I guess I should remember that morning sessions are the best for our family and of course a lot of candy for bribing is a necessity!! Here are some of my favorites...
