We lucked out and we had beautiful BLUE SKIES on our entire hike!! The weatherman had predicted "mountain showers" and that was exactly what happened to us last week on our hike up that way, so we were preapred for whatever we were given today. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day of hiking though!
The trail was crowded with lots of people and lots of doggies, so that made it fun. We usually don't run into too many people on our hikes. But since today was a great day to be outdoors I guess everyone wanted to take advantage of that like us.
To get to Barclay Lake, we hiked about 2.25 miles there and 2.25 miles back, making it a grand total of only 4.5 miles today. The hike was well worth it though! The lake was beautiful and calm and made for the perfect place to have a picnic lunch and watch Coda dig in the water. And not having to hike through the snow like we did last week was a very nice change!
On our way to Barclay Lake
Getting ready to cross the creek on the bridge
It's a MUST to stop at a rock and do my traditional muscle pose
Beautiful Barclay Lake surrounded by snowy mountains
Another view of the lake from our lunch spot
This time we actually remembered the tripod for our family photo!
My favorite (Coda even has the look of a model)!
Sunshine, hiking, and a great destination=
PURE PERFECTION!
