Remembering One Amazing Woman

On January 6, 2013 the world lost an amazing woman, but Heaven gained a beautiful angel.  My grandma Eleanore is sure missed, but we are most happy that she is finally up in Heaven with my grandpa Jim and they now have forever to spend together.

So over the weekend we flew back to Santa Barbara, CA for my grandma's memorial service, which was held on February 18, 2013 at her longtime church where she attended and volunteered a lot of her time for many many years.

The cousins headed to the service to honor their great grandma Dilly

It was so nice to be with most of the family and put closure to her passing.  We shared stories, sorted through pictures and just reminisced on all the good times we had with her.  It was a blessing to be able to come back for this so we could support my mom and the rest of the family.

We also managed to make the most of our sunny Santa Barbara weekend by visiting the beach, taking a trip to the zoo, having a visit from Jason's brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Bree who drove over from Pasadena just to spend a day with us, and a quick stop on the pier.

Wasn't this swing made for 2?!
