It was so much fun to be at Wapato Point on Labor Day weekend and see how many people were there and how full the beaches were. And then right after the long holiday weekend was over, the place emptied out significantly. Restaurants in town even went to their new fall hours right after Labor Day weekend, so that is definitely the official end to summer in Lake Chelan!
We had our friends Nick, Lindsey and Penelope with us for the long weekend and had a blast while they were there. We did a lot of beach playing, some going out to eat, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, and we had a really fun day at Slide Waters Waterpark. The weather was pretty darn close to perfect, but maybe could have been a few degrees warmer each day.

Once the Yancey family left and Wapato calmed down a bit from the holiday crowds, we spent a little more time at the pools, playing mini golf and just hanging around the resort.

This was our last summer family trip and a special one at that since we knew that once Cammy started school, vacations were going to be hard to come by for a while...especially making a trip here 4 times a year!
