Riding Lessons

For Brielle's 3rd birthday she got money from her G-ma and Grandpa to do some horse riding lessons. For this horse obsessed girl this was the BEST present ever. Sadly it took us 7 months to finally cash in on it. And thanks to a Stroller Strides connection I was able to set it up with someone I knew (the same person we did horse riding with for Brielle's 3rd birthday, just in a new location this time).

Brielle did one horse riding lesson a week for a total of 4 weeks. First one was on July 8th. She got to help get Robin (the same horse she rode on her birthday) brushed, saddled and ready to ride. She then got to do some basic riding in the arena and a little outside. Then she got to help clean Robin up and take him back to his stall.

We had to take the following week off since we were out of town, but then continued for 2 more Mondays (July 22nd and 29th) and the last lesson was a on a Friday (Aug. 2nd). Each week she got to ride a different horse: Robin the first week, Whiskey the second week, Pet the third week and then Robin again on the fourth week.

Each lesson she did a little more on the horse. She went from just walking on the horse, to doing little obstacles, to learning commands, to beginning to trot.

Brielle was in Heaven for these 4 lessons. Now I guess I need to find a way to afford horse riding or buy the girl her own horse (just kidding on the second part).

Thanks Emily and Strong Tower Equestrian for a fun 4 weeks of riding for this horse loving 3 year old!!!!
