Reading The Night Before Kindergarten
Reading The Night Before Preschool
I fully prepared myself for the worst (I think I had PTSD from Hailey's first day of Preschool and her kicking and screaming not wanting to go to class). Hailey seemed totally confident about going to Kindergarten, so it was Brielle I was more worried about (she's one of those kids who likes to keep you on your toes and you never know what to expect from her at any given moment).
Shockingly, Brielle went off to Preschool with no hesitation and Hailey walked into Kindergarten like she had done this before. I didn't know whether I should cry happy or sad tears, so I didn't cry at all. I was proud to see both of the girls easily head off on their new adventures in school. I was excited to have 2.5 kid free hours to myself.
Ready to go be big kids!
First day of Kindergarten!
Still wants to be a gymnastics coach
So proud of our Kindergartener!!
First day of Preschool!
So specific only wanting to work with dogs
Hard to believe she is already in school!!
Kind of weird walking two kids into the same school now!
A happy wave goodbye from Hailey
Hailey seemed to have a lot to tell us about her first day and answered all of our questions, but all we could get out of Brielle was that she stood there and didn't do anything, not even play. I guess she will begin as an observer in her Preschool class and hopefully one day soon she will feel comfortable enough to want to participate and meet new friends. As long as we don't have tears going each day then I guess I really don't care what happens at school.
