A Visit From Our Good Friends

On June 29th, our close friends, the Yanceys, came back to WA for a little visit. This was such a nice visit because we had just seen Nick and Lindsey in Vegas without kids and now this visit was all about the kids and spending time with all of us.

The very first night they were here the boys all went out to Traxx for some indoor go kart racing and then dinner after. So that left some of us moms with the kids and we did a simple dinner at our house. (men don't take pictures like women do, so of course there are no pictures from the guys night)

The following day us girls went off for an afternoon of wine tasting and dinner afterwards. It's always fun to get away during the day and do a little adulting at a few wineries.

The next day, July 1st, it was back to all about the kids when we celebrated Penelope's 5th birthday at Remlinger Farms. The kids all had a blast riding the rides and spending the day together. So much that we couldn't even muster up the energy to go out to dinner, but instead had a BBQ party at our house

July 3rd was the day the Yanceys headed home, but before they did that we were able to squeeze in one last activity of Find Waldo in the Town Center (this is where the kids go to a bunch of different businesses and search for a hidden Waldo somewhere in their store and then they get stamps on a passport for each one that they find) and then a late lunch after that.

It's always so special to have all of us together again. I know just as much as we miss Nick and Lindsey, the girls miss their kids, Penelope and Bennett equally as much! Now if only we could find a way to get them to move back here then life would be good!!
